COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Certified CISO (CCISO) EC-Council program is the first of its kind training and certification program aimed at producing top-level information security executives. The CCISO does not focus solely on technical knowledge but on the application of information security management principles from an executive management point of view. Each segment of the program has been developed with the aspiring CISO in mind and looks to transfer the knowledge of seasoned professionals to the next generation in the areas that are most critical in the development and maintenance of a successful information security program.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:

The intended audience for the CCISO training program is IT professionals involved with information security management. CCISO is a great fit for the following roles or situations:

  • You need to set yourself apart from the pack for that next promotion or position
  • You aspire to attain the highest regarded title within the information security profession – CISO
  • You currently serve in the capacity of a CISO
  • You perform CISO functions as part of another job
  • You need to be compliant with DoD directive 8570.01

PREREQUISITES/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Individuals who wish to take the CCISO exam must complete the Exam Eligibility Application in order to prove they possess five years of information security management experience in three of the five CCISO Domains or have met the requirements for one of the waivers. You should review the Exam Eligibility Application prior to enrolling in the course at CyberSecurity Academy to make sure you will be eligible to take the exam. There is no fee for CyberSecurity Academy customers to submit the application.

If you do not meet the requirements, you can still take the class and sit for the Information Security Manager (E|ISM) exam to help propel your career and put you on the fast track toward obtaining the CCISO. Information on the Information Security Manager exam can be found in the CCISO brochure.

The CCISO exam is a 4-hour, 250-question multiple choice exam. Individuals are required to pass the exam with at least a 70 percent score. All students who take their CCISO training at CyberSecurity Academy will receive an exam voucher as part of their tuition.
